JAWS keys: every key

This page is made from TurnOver's own command tables (`turnover-coretest --keys-reference`, 20 Oct 2026), so it matches the build it came with. Don't edit it by hand.

The JAWS keys style: JAWS's laptop layout. TurnOver in a key means the JAWS key: Caps Lock, or Control and Option together. Only the keys that differ from NVDA's are JAWS's own; every other key is NVDA's, so the NVDA keys page lists the rest. Keyboard help (the TurnOver menu, Keys) says what any key does without doing it; Command Control Comma, then Slash, lists the keys that work where you are.

Switch styles with Command Control Comma, then K. TurnOver's own commands behind Command Control Comma are the same in every style: see The TurnOver layer.

JAWS keys

TurnOver Escape	Rebuilds the page's browse mode view (NVDA+F5)
TurnOver F1	Reads the item's help tag (VO-Shift-H)
TurnOver F10	Application chooser; lists every application with a window, system alerts too, to switch to (Windows: Windows+Tab, Task View)
TurnOver F11	Status menus; lists the status menus at the right of the menu bar, TurnOver's own item last (Windows: Windows+B)
TurnOver F2	Opens TurnOver's settings in its menu (JAWS: Insert+F2, Insert+6)

TurnOver S	Turns reporting of dynamic content changes on or off
TurnOver Semicolon	Brings object navigation back to the focus
TurnOver U	Moves the review cursor to the previous line (NVDA+Up Arrow, laptop)
TurnOver Y	Reads the previous sentence (VO-Command-Page Up)
TurnOver Z	Switches between browse mode and focus mode in a document
TurnOver Control F1	Open the log; writes the navigator object's details to the log and opens the log (NVDA+F1)
TurnOver Control F12	Reports the time with seconds. Pressed twice, the week of the year (JAWS: Control+Insert+F12)
TurnOver Control F7	Reports where the link goes (NVDA+K)

TurnOver Shift Delete	Where the item is on screen; reports where the item object navigation is on sits on the screen (NVDA+Shift+Delete)

TurnOver Up arrow	Moves the review cursor to the previous line (NVDA+Up Arrow, laptop)

Text review

During say all

These keys apply only while say all is reading.
